You will need…
The drawing template pritned on A4 paper (pdf provided); Artist’s canvas (24x 30 Cm); PAINTS: green, yellow, red, blue, white, black; Paintbrushes (medium and fine); A paint palate (a plastic plate works well); A permanent fineliner; A sponge; Carbon tracing paper
SECTION 1: GETTING STARTED

First, you need to ttrace the outline (using PDF provided) onto canvas. Stick the carbon tracing paper to the canvas and place the pdf print out on top
Now, go over the drawn outline of monument using the permanent marker

SECTION 2: DO THE BACKGROUND

Now that you’ve got your outline done, we’re going to paint the background. We start by doing a ‘wash’, which is a block of light colour that will be the background, in this case, the sky and lake.
Take bit of blue paint and mix it with a small amount of water. Then,completely soak the sponge, and wipe this horizontally accross the canvas. Cover the entire canvas using the wiping motion, and leave to dry

SECTION 3: PAINTING THE DETAILS

Now fill in the details, doing the lightest and most prominent colour (in this case cream) to the darkest/least prominent colour. Use the larger brush for block colours, and a finer brush for the smaller details
