Not Pleased at All

Dear Local Government,

I hope this letter finds you well, although I must say, it’s hard to imagine how that could be possible given your complete and utter incompetence in fixing the falling down wall on Main Street.

It’s been months since we first reported this issue to you, and yet you still haven’t managed to do anything about it. Perhaps you’re too busy with your luxurious lunches and fancy dinners to notice.

Meanwhile, the wall continues to crumble and threaten the safety of pedestrians and nearby buildings. But I guess that’s not important to you, is it? I mean, who cares about public safety when there are more important things to worry about, like your next vacation or which sauce to combine with your roasted haddock.

And don’t even get me started on your lack of communication. It’s almost as if you enjoy keeping us in the dark about what’s going on. Or maybe you’re just too busy patting yourselves on the back for doing absolutely nothing.

Well, let me tell you something. We’re not going to take it anymore. We demand action, and we demand it now. We pay our taxes for a reason, and that reason is not so that you can sit on your hands and do nothing while our town falls apart.

So, get your act together and fix the damn wall already. And while you’re at it, maybe consider actually doing your job for once.
