Well, the Cambridge handbook for teachers says:
A review is usually written for an English-language magazine, website or newspaper. Main purpose: describe and express a personal opinion about something which the writer has experienced (e.g. a film, a holiday, a product, a website etc.) and to give the reader a clear impression of what the item discussed is like. Description and explanation are very important for this task, and a review will normally include a recommendation to the reader.
So, you must write a review of something, probably a book, film or other product.
Like this example:
Book reviews wanted: Have you read a book in which the main character behaved in a surprising way? Write us a review of the book, explaining what the main character did and why it was surprising. Tell us whether or not you would recommend this book to other people. The best reviews will be published in the magazine. Write your review. |
